Ingredients
- 1 pound pork
- 1 cup salsa
Directions
- Chop the pork into inch cubes
- Add salsa and pork to slow cooker, cook for minimum 4 hours
Step by Step Directions
I started by chopping some onions, I know it’s not in the ingredient list above but I had some so I chopped them up and threw them in.
Additionally, I was meal prepping for the week so I multiplied everything in the recipe by 4 (so four pounds of meat and 4 cups of salsa).

Chop your pork into roughly one inch cubes. Make sure that your pork isn’t too lean, we want to render some of the fat while we slow cook it.

Now throw it all into a slow cooker and make sure that the pork is covered in salsa.

Cook the mixture in your slow cooker for at least 4 hours. Your pork should be tender, almost like the consistency of pulled pork.
Enjoy.

Variations
- Add whatever vegetables you want. I added onions because they were easy.
- Add any additional ingredients you would like. If you add beans you’re close to a chili. If you add rice you’re moving towards a stew. Really whatever you want to do should work.
- Add whatever spices you may want. I’ve found garlic, cloves and hot sauce have made positive impacts on the dish.
Unsolicited Feedback
- WA: There’s not enough ingredients.
- FC: You didn’t actually do any cooking.
- PO: That’s some pretty tender pork.
